Marketing Analyst
Summary:
The Marketing Analyst works directly with the strategic marketing and account management teams to provide insight and expertise related to client marketing data. The person in this position has a deep understanding of the technical aspects of digital marketing data platforms (Google Analytics, HubSpot, GROW, Raven Tools, Google Search Console, and others). The Analyst utilizes this expertise to surface strategic insights into customer and prospect behavior, develop and support data-driven strategies for continuous performance improvement across channels, and identify opportunities for Enrollment Builders to deepen and strengthen relationships with clients, as well as the relationships between our clients and their audiences. The person in this role is adept at creating, presenting, and articulating sophisticated reports in a way that clearly communicates key insights to Enrollment Builders colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a suite of data management and reporting tools for use across Enrollment Builders
  • Develops, documents, and maintains methodologies, procedures, and practices for data management and reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Regularly reviews data, raises alerts when necessary, takes corrective action when appropriate, and otherwise continually monitors and evaluates marketing data
  • Researches, recommends, and integrates additional tools and practices
  • Provides detailed analysis and reporting of client data, suitable for review and discussion with Enrollment Builders colleagues and client staff
  • Presents data reports and analyses to clients and colleagues in a clear, compelling, and assured manner
  • Builds and maintains centralized reporting dashboards as required
  • Performs site audits and other analysis of both client and competitor properties as required
  • Maintains leading-edge expertise in digital marketing data platforms and analytics
  • Develops and maintains deep expertise in higher education-specific audiences, data sources, processes, and models

Required Skills:

  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to identify connections, develop holistic strategies, and gain deep insights
  • Ability to communicate exceptionally well verbally, in writing, and through visual presentation in order to distill complex data and concepts into actionable, effective recommendations
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Deep expertise in web site analytics, search engine algorithms, digital marketing practices, and related areas
  • Proven experience in digital marketing data analytics, preferably in a higher education consulting environment
  • Demonstrable experience on client project with digital marketing tools and platforms, with current certifications preferred where applicable
  • Education and/or experience in traditional or digital marketing, data analytics, higher education, or other related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data insights to develop strategies that directly impact client goals
  • Ability to switch easily between tactical and strategic thinking, from technical to non-technical language, and among audiences of different levels of authority and understanding
  • Ability to thrive and constantly evolve in an environment of rapid change, tremendous growth
  • Ability to efficiently complete work of the highest quality, on time, and within required procedures and constraints without constant supervision
  • Ability to assess and recommend innovations or opportunities to advance Enrollment Builders’ performance and our clients’ ability to achieve and surpass their goals
